About YMRT
Yorkshire Medic Response Team is the working name of West Yorkshire Medic Response, a registered charity bringing specialist volunteer clinicians to serious incidents and training the next generation of prehospital practitioners.
Who we are
Yorkshire Medic Response Team (YMRT) is the working name of West Yorkshire Medic Response, a registered charity founded in 2009. We are volunteer-led, bringing together doctors and paramedics with expertise in acute and prehospital care.
We support Yorkshire Ambulance Service at serious medical and trauma incidents by providing additional clinical capability before patients reach hospital. We work alongside the ambulance service; we do not replace it.

Our clinical team
YMRT's clinical team includes doctors and paramedics with backgrounds in emergency medicine, critical and intensive care, anaesthesia, paediatrics, ambulance practice, acute care and prehospital emergency medicine. All clinical members volunteer their time around their NHS and other clinical commitments.

YMRT is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Charity No. 1130941) and the Care Quality Commission as a provider of regulated activities (provider ID 1-854332245). We are listed by BASICS as an immediate care scheme in Yorkshire & The Humber.
