Dr Aaron Madhok

Doctor - Ultrasound Lead

Aaron is an emergency medicine consultant in South Yorkshire. He has worked in motorsports for many years and joined the charity in 2024. He has an interest in resuscitation and ultrasound, and is the ultrasound lead for the service.

Dr Alison Walker

Doctor - Trustee

Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Level 8 practitioner in prehospital care. Previously medical director of Yorkshire then West Midlands Ambulance services, HEMS doctor Yorkshire air ambulance 2002-2015. JRCALC Chair 2019-2025. Co lead for Trauma and Emergency Care, Yorkshire and Humber Research Delivery Network.

Consultant in anaesthesia and major trauma. HEMS doctor YAA and LNAA. YMRT member since 2012

Dr Alistair Morris

Doctor

Alistair is a paediatric consultant working in ED. He is a mountain rescue volunteer and have been responding for YMRT for 9 years.

Dr Andrew Mockridge

Doctor - SLT - YMRT Chair - Trustee

Andrew is the Chair of YMRT and a Trustee of the charity. He works as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Oldham Hospital. He also has a CCT in intensive care medicine and is a Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. He completed a full time fellowship at TAAS from 2022 to 2023 and still does regular shifts on Helimed 53/54. He is a MERIT doctor for YAS, BASICS doctor (Vice chair) and recently appointed YAA HEMS doctor. He has been a member of YMRT since 2021

Dr Basim Manzoor

Doctor

Basim is a GP with eight years experience in Emergency Medicine, currently undertaking Core Anaesthetic Training alongside his role as one of the Emergency Operations Centre Lead Doctors for YAS. His interest in PHEM developed through working in motorsport and has grown from a passion for caring for critically unwell patients in high-pressure, challenging environments. He is also a CPD Lead for the Yorkshire Regional Group of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.

Dr Chris I'Anson

Graduated from Leeds Medical School 2013. Passionate about PHEM throughout medical school. Army Reservist and Anaesthetic Registrar with a special interest in neuroanaesthesia and trauma. Recently returned from Australia having worked in Pre-hospital and Retrieval Medicine with South Australia Ambulance Service MedSTAR in Adelaide.

Dan Lawrence

Paramedic

After being a Paramedic for 7 years, Dan wanted to extend his skills and knowledge to volunteer alongside Doctors, Paramedics and Critical Care Paramedics. Over the last 7 years Dan has taken on the role of Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer and continues to mentor new staff on the road. He has completed his JESIP, SORT and Operational command training which has given him extended knowledge and skills in Major incidents.

Dave Chase

Paramedic

Dave qualified as a paramedic in 2020 and has been volunteering with YMRT since 2023. He currently works as a paramedic at YAS and as an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. He has a keen interest in critical care and human factors.

Dr David Braham

Doctor

David is an Emergency Medicine Registrar in Leeds and a HEMS Doctor with the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. He has been volunteering with YMRT since 2020.

Dr George Hamson

Doctor

George is an anaesthetic and intensive care doctor, based in West Yorkshire. He have worked within pre-hospital care since 2018, volunteering as a YMRT doctor since 2024.

Dr Heather Reynolds

Doctor - Governance Lead

Heather is an ST7 anaesthetic doctor in South Yorkshire and has been responding for YMRT since 2018. She completed a HEMS fellowship with The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) and is part of the BASICS and YMRT education teams.

Dr Jenny Mullan

Doctor

Jenny an Anaesthetic Registrar in South Yorkshire and has been an active team member of Edale Mountain Rescue Team since 2015. She has the Diploma in Immediate Medical Care and Diploma in Mountain Medicine, and regularly teaches on PHEM courses

Jon Richards

Paramedic - SLT - Treasurer - Trustee

Jon has been a member of YMRT since 2013, He is also, President of the Yorkshire Regional Group of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) and a Specialist Paramedic – Critical Care with Yorkshire Ambulance Service, providing advanced pre-hospital critical care across Yorkshire. Jon has a particular interest in critical care, resuscitation, major incident management, event medicine, and pre-hospital education. Alongside his NHS role, he has supported the delivery of medical care and operational planning at major national and international events and is committed to advancing clinical practice through education, collaboration, and evidence-based care. He is passionate about bringing together clinicians from across the region to share knowledge, challenge practice, and strengthen the future of pre-hospital care.

Dr Jonny Heron

Doctor

Jonny grew up in the Northeast of England and trained at Newcastle Medical School (with a small hiatus in Liverpool for a Biochemistry degree first). After completing foundation programme in Sunderland Hospitals he worked in New Zealand for 2 years. The majority of which being in small rural district general hospitals which he thoroughly enjoyed. Jonny returned to West Yorkshire for Emergency Medicine training and joined the consultant team at Airedale General Hospital in November 2024. He has had a keen interest in PHEM since medical school and worked in a number of Pre-Hospital environments including refugee camps, motorsport medicine and sports medicine. He joined the Yorkshire Medical Response Team during the first year of Emergency Medicine training and was signed off as a solo doctor in December 2025.

Kris Barraclough

Paramedic

Kris is an HCPC-registered Paramedic with over 15 years’ experience in pre-hospital emergency care across ambulance services in the North and South of England. His background includes specialist operational, clinical and management/leadership roles, as well as Motorsport UK Paramedic and Rescue Operative. Kris is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, supporting colleagues, and working within multidisciplinary teams. Proud to volunteer with Yorkshire Medic Response Team, helping to provide enhanced pre-hospital emergency care across Yorkshire.

Dr. Matthew Nelson

Doctor

Matthew is an anaesthetic registrar with broad pre-hospital experience across retrieval, motorsport and event medicine. He spent a year with the Central Australian Retrieval Service, delivering critical care across remote and austere environments, and works in motorsport medicine with the British Touring Car Championship and Silverstone Medical Team. He is also actively involved in pre-hospital education, clinical governance and service development, and serves as Secretary of the Yorkshire Regional Group of the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.

Dr Rebecca Isles

Doctor

Rebecca is an EM Consultant in West Yorkshire and a Consultant with the Yorkshire MERIT Team. She has worked for YAA in the past and also volunteers with BASICS, Mountain Rescue, Festival Medical Services and YMRT.

Dr Samuel Allen

Doctor

Sam is an Anaesthetic Registrar in Yorkshire and the Humber. He Has been a member of YMRT since 2024, and has volunteered as an Event Doctor with St John Ambulance since 2020.

Sam Batley

Paramedic

Sam currently works as a Team Leader and Instructor for Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) Hazardous Area Response Team (HART). He has been involved with Yorkshire Medic Response Team (YMRT) for the past 4 years and enjoys working alongside doctors and paramedics supporting them in the pre-hospital environment and providing clinical support to the crews of Yorkshire Ambulance Service to further support the patient care they are providing. He enjoys the wide variety of training experiences facilitated by the YMRT team and sharing experiences with others to ensure we can provide a high standard and quality of care to patients within the Yorkshire region.

Sam Hewson

Paramedic - SLT - Paramedic Lead

Sam qualified as a paramedic in 2015, spending his first three years working on a frontline Double Crewed Ambulance before moving into a Clinical Supervisor role for four years. He later progressed into critical care as a Specialist Paramedic and have since completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. Sam first joined WYMRT in 2018, and the experience, opportunities and learning gained through the charity has played an important part in shaping his career. He is therefore very pleased to now be able to give something back as the organisation develops into YMRT. As part of the Senior Management Team, he hopes to use his experience to support the continued development of the charity, while helping to encourage, guide and develop colleagues who are looking to progress into pre-hospital critical care.

Dr Sarah Owen

Sarah graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020, before starting her medical career in Leeds later that year. She is now an Emergency Medicine trainee, based in West Yorkshire. Sarah joined YMRT in 2023, and its been a fantastic first step towards a career in PHEM - the team is full of a wealth of experience and knowledge, and every shift is a huge opportunity to learn and also make a real positive impact to patients and colleagues across the region.

Wez Roberts

Paramedic - SLT - Paramedic Lead - Trustee

Wez has volunteered with the charity since 2019 and has recently joined the leadership team. His full time employed role is as a Specialist Paramedic in Critical Care with Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Outside of his clinical duties he has undertaken research on the management of out of hospital cardiac arrest, which is an area he enjoys teaching about. Whilst volunteering with the charity he enjoys supporting and mentoring new prehospital clinicians, and finds he learns as much from them as they do from him!

Zach Davies

Paramedic - SLT - Equipment Lead

Zach has volunteered with the charity since 2023 and has recently joined the leadership team. His full time role is with Yorkshire Ambulance Service as a Specialist Paramedic – Critical Care. His special interests include optimising resuscitation, trauma management and prehospital education. In YMRT, he is passionate about providing the right people, with the right equipment and knowledge to provide excellent prehospital enhanced and critical care.
